Shri Hindutakht appointed Shri Santosh Sharma Kothari as the President of South India during a solemn ceremony at Ramalayam Temple, Sri Ram Nagar, Hyderabad on 6th April 2025.
The Sri Hindu Takht has made a significant move in its ongoing mission to promote Hindu unity and protect Sanatana Dharma by appointing Santosh Sharma Kothari as the President of its South India chapter. This appointment was finalized based on the decision of the central committee of the organization and was celebrated at a grand oath-taking ceremony held on April 6, 2025, coinciding with Ram Navami, at the Ramalayam Temple in Sri Ram Nagar, Manchester. The event was seen as a historic moment, symbolizing the strengthening of Hindu cultural and spiritual outreach across the southern states of India.
Sri Hindu Takht, an organization established with the blessings of Sri Adi Shankaracharya, holds a prominent place in the religious and cultural landscape of India. Since its formation in 1882, the organization has tirelessly worked to safeguard Hindu traditions, protect ancient scriptures, and promote Sanatana Dharma principles. It is registered under the Indian Trust Act and enjoys 80G income tax exemption, reflecting its legitimacy and long-standing service to society. According to its leadership, the organization aims not only to protect religious practices but also to foster unity among various Hindu communities, languages, and traditions, both in India and internationally.
The oath-taking ceremony was attended by many dignitaries and important office bearers of the organization. Among those present were Ravinder, the National President; K. Ravindra Rao, National Organizing Secretary; Satish Kumar, Chief Secretary; Koti Sridhar, Secretary; D. Anand Rao, Main Secretary; and Srinivas Murthy, Coordinator. Senior legal figures like Vishwanath Nyayamurti Jusnis J. Sambashiva Rao and G.V. Sriramcharya, as well as Media Advisor Srikanthacharya, also graced the occasion. Representatives from religious centers across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Mandya, Mahabubnagar, and other neighboring districts attended, highlighting the regional and national importance of the event.
During the ceremony, Santosh Sharma Kothari was handed his official appointment letter, which outlined his three-year tenure from April 6, 2025, to April 6, 2028. The letter emphasized his honorary role and his responsibility to carry out the tasks of the organization with full dedication, honesty, and commitment. The national leadership, including Jai Ravinder Verma (National Spokesperson and Trustee) and Satish Kumar Ji (National Organization Minister), entrusted Sharma with the vital duty of advancing the organization’s mission in South India. Regional committees are also expected to be formed under his leadership to further strengthen efforts to protect Sanatana Dharma principles at the grassroots level.

श्री हिन्दू तख़्त ने अपने निरंतर प्रयासों के तहत सनातन धर्म की रक्षा और हिंदू एकता को सुदृढ़ करने के लिए संतोष शर्मा कोठारी को दक्षिण भारत अध्यक्ष के रूप में नियुक्त किया है। यह नियुक्ति संगठन की केंद्रीय समिति के निर्णय के अनुसार की गई और इसे 6 अप्रैल 2025 को राम नवमी के अवसर पर, मैनचेस्टर के श्रीराम नगर स्थित रामालय मंदिर में आयोजित एक भव्य शपथ ग्रहण समारोह में घोषित किया गया। यह आयोजन एक ऐतिहासिक क्षण के रूप में देखा गया, जिसने दक्षिण भारतीय राज्यों में हिंदू सांस्कृतिक और आध्यात्मिक पहुंच को मजबूत करने का संकेत दिया।

शपथ ग्रहण समारोह में कई गणमान्य व्यक्तियों और संगठन के वरिष्ठ पदाधिकारियों की उपस्थिति रही। इनमें राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष रविंदर, राष्ट्रीय संगठन सचिव के. रविंद्र राव, मुख्य सचिव सतीश कुमार, सचिव कोटी श्रीधर, मुख्य सचिव डी. आनंद राव, और समन्वयक श्रीनिवास मूर्ति शामिल थे। वरिष्ठ विधिक सलाहकार विश्वनाथ न्यायमूर्ति जस्निस जे. संभाशिव राव और कानूनी अधिवक्ता जी. वी. श्रीरामचार्य, साथ ही मीडिया सलाहकार श्रीकांताचार्य ने भी समारोह में भाग लिया। तेलंगाना, आंध्र प्रदेश, मंड्या, महबूबनगर और आस-पास के जिलों से धार्मिक केंद्रों के प्रतिनिधि भी समारोह में उपस्थित रहे, जिससे आयोजन की क्षेत्रीय और राष्ट्रीय महत्ता स्पष्ट हुई।
समारोह के दौरान संतोष शर्मा कोठारी को उनका आधिकारिक नियुक्ति पत्र सौंपा गया, जिसमें 6 अप्रैल 2025 से 6 अप्रैल 2028 तक की तीन वर्ष की अवधि का उल्लेख था। इस पत्र में उनके मानद (honorary) पद और संगठन के कार्यों को पूर्ण निष्ठा, ईमानदारी और समर्पण के साथ निभाने की जिम्मेदारी पर विशेष जोर दिया गया। जय रविंदर वर्मा (राष्ट्रीय प्रवक्ता और न्यासी) और सतीश कुमार जी (राष्ट्रीय संगठन मंत्री) सहित राष्ट्रीय नेतृत्व ने शर्मा को दक्षिण भारत में संगठन के मिशन को आगे बढ़ाने का महत्वपूर्ण दायित्व सौंपा। उनके नेतृत्व में क्षेत्रीय समितियों के गठन की भी योजना है, ताकि जमीनी स्तर पर सनातन धर्म के सिद्धांतों की रक्षा के प्रयासों को मजबूत किया जा सके।
